Dry Creek Railroad: our first tourist trap!
The trains bring clay down from the mountain to a pottery workshop at the base of the mountain. Here's one of the pieces of pottery on display:
The train ride up the mountain included lots more works of pottery art including these tile pieces lining the walls just before a tunnel. The picture's a little blurry because the train is moving.
The coolest part of the Coromandel trip came when we hiked up Castlerock, an extinct volcano.
